I moved to the UK from Australia five years ago and recently relocated to the lovely city of Cardiff. In this lovely city I'm pursuing my lifelong dream of studying English Literature and History at university.
By pursing this undergraduate degree, I aim to carve out a meaningful career that will challenge me creatively and engage my passion for history and storytelling.
I’m always eager to find freelance or casual work that will utilise my diverse range of abilities - so don’t hesitate to get in touch!
Roles & Responsibilities
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
I was responsible for coordinating weekly e-newsletters, annual events, social media content while also managing our website and membership inboxes. I also contributed to the quarterly print magazine with photography and feature stories while also coordinating external advertising space.
SOLE TRADING FREELANCER
As a fully insured freelancer I offer the following monthly services to clients running their own businesses:
• Stock photography
• Social media management
• Website management
• Basic graphic design
• Audience engagement
Guildford School of Acting / University of Surrey
I was responsible for processing student applications to performing arts courses within this school. This required the coordination of auditions for hundreds of applicants and the efficient delivery of outcomes, including recall invitations and rejections.
To assist in this large undertaking I was also responsible for managing a team of student helpers and offered my assistance with general admissions queries for all other courses via phone and email.
BOC (British Oxygen)
I was initially employed to assist in the archiving of paper documents into a new digital database and was recruited internally into the position of HR Coordinator.
I managed various inboxes for employee queries, assisted in calculating and communicating redundancy payments across the company, oversaw the on-boarding of HR staff and assisted with the entire recruitment process of nurses and healthcare professionals (setting up interviews, screening out candidates, reference and DBS checking, creating and issuing contracts of employment).
