On Saturday I was talked into going for a 5 mile ramble through Lightwater Country Park. I was enticed with the promise of gorgeous views across the Surrey Heath from the top of Curley Hill - something I had to remind myself of several times as I struggled up the steep ascent.
Needless to say it was worth it in the end!
On a clear day you can see the London sky line, and you can find plenty of military training left overs (such as the stick barricades pictured below) - as it’s not just a popular dog walking spot, but also a functioning Ministry of Defence training area.
We meanderd back down the hill and passed by a pond brimming with lily pads - taking plenty of breaks to greet the four legged walkers also enjoying the sunshine.
