Dawdling along Durdle Door

The first sunny day of the year hit the UK last Saturday - and we decided to make the most of it. With packed picnic lunches and coins to use on ice creams along the way, we set off from Lulworth Cove to along the coastal path to Durdle Door.

Despite the brilliant sunshine lighting the way, ascending the hill took us into a thick fog covering the landscape and obscured any hope of a view until we began to descend onto the beach.

While the walk had been both crowded and challenging, it was more than worthwhile in order to admire the amazing rock formation up close.
