Picturesque Port Isaac

Port Isaac is a teeny village in North Cornwall, so teeny that to enter the village your car must be parked a quarter of a mile away on the cliffs above and set out on foot to enter. On a bright sunny day like the one I experienced, it's easy to picture the scenes of the much loved ITV series Doc Martin that was filmed in Port Isaac since 2004.

Crawling with tourists at the first sign of sunshine, I would recommend getting into Port Isaac as early as possible or during the week/out of school holiday season, in order to appreciate the quaint shops and truly Cornish atmosphere of the town.
