Trebarwith Strand

Trebarwith Strand beach, near Tintagel, is a quiet and stunning beach with only a single pub and a cluster of bungalows to indicate any human presence at the coastal beauty spot.

The golden sands of the beach can stretch for more than a mile at low tide, but once the waters rise all that can be seen is the rocky base of the cliffs and the temporary rock pools that appear.

Given it was a wrong turn early in the morning that took me to Trebarwith, the fleeting visit I enjoyed to this pretty location was much too short - I hope to go back again and explore the hidden caves that appear once the tide has gone out and walk along the dramatic sea front for further exploring.
